Once-revolutionary fuel Allinol was exposed as the center of an elaborate conspiracy. Cars globally are quickly losing faith in sustainable energy alternatives to good ol’ oil, and the gears of global diplomacy grinding to a halt.
The clean energy bubble has popped, causing global markets to crash; major nations closed their borders to foreign fuels, and races are on pause indefinitely. Rumor is that Professor Zundapp’s technology is making its way through the black market, threatening further unrest. Simultaneously, oil rich nations are leveraging the crisis to maintain dominance, sparking trade wars and corruption accusations. To keep the world from stalling completely, the Cars Emergency Energy Summit has officially convened. Diplomats from every corner of the world – from racing dynasties and industrial giants to small town gas stations – are gathering to address the crisis.

Head Chair: Oriana Christian
Hello! My name is Oriana Christian, UCDMUN’s Director General for this year, and your chair for the Running on Fumes – Cars Emergency Energy Summit! I’m incredibly excited to bring one of my favorite franchises to life in this committee – Pixar’s Cars. This will be my 2nd year with UCDMUN, and my 3rd year of MUN overall. Last year I helped staff the Los Alamos crisis, and I can’t wait to chair this year! I’ve spent most of my life overseas in England and Japan, so I don’t really call anywhere in particular home. When I’m not tied up with MUN, I’m probably working at the CoHo on campus, playing video games, watching movies, or frantically studying Japanese, so feel free to talk to me about any of those, or, of course, Cars! I look forward to seeing you all in committee!
Crisis Director: Andrew Jower
Hello! My name is Andrew Jower, and I am a fourth-year student double majoring in Sociology: Organizational Studies and Science and Technology Studies. I transferred to UC Davis from Santa Monica College in 2024 and joined the Davis Model United Nations team during my first quarter here.
Model United Nations has been one of the highlights of my college experience. It has allowed me to meet some really smart and really cool people from across the country while allowing me to develop my public speaking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. MUN is a great experience that everyone should try. I am excited to see you at DMUNC in 2026!
A couple of fun facts about me are that I always wear brown and I enjoy eating raw tomato slices.
